Pay close attention to the selection boxes when installing new software. Some software companies are attempting to install trial software by way of connection to another product you purchased. These sales/marketing tactics are common and antivirus software companies are infamous for doing it. By not unchecking a box that prompts the install of another product, while your going through the installation of a product you legitimately purchased, you will inadvertently agree to have it installed. These add-on products are typically not malicious in nature but can cause unpredictable problems and even worse request payment options from you once the trial period has expired.
