Plasma Surgical, a manufacturer and innovator in surgical technology has developed a patented plasma tech for open and laparoscopic applications. Pretty Cool. They had a few Managed IT Services needs.
Did you know? Plasma is a highly energized gas? Check this out >
- They needed new management oversight for their entire IT infrastructure
- Currently their IT environment was outdated. It needed support in its current state, but also a modernization strategy.
- A customer centric application set, Epicor and Trackwise, required support
- They also needed a better back up, a more contemporary network security, a remote monitoring system and new user hardware
The challenge was set.
SA IT was honored to work with Plasma Surgical and implement the following solutions:
- We created plans to migrate all services onto the Exchange 2010 environment
- We initiated and inserted a replication service for email on Exchange 2010
- ADFS was implemented in house
- Azure AD back up service was installed
- All new file servers were established
- 3 Firewalls were installed and configured
- We closed a security risk window by eliminating old firewalls
- Managed Data Backup – Azure Cloud resource was provided
- All outdated 2003 Microsoft servers were retired
- Multiple SharePoint sites were created
- Overseas offices were amalgamated into the support network
So what happened?
- Migration of customer managed services over to SA IT was successful (this included backup, security, recovery, user access and more)
- On premise Exchange 2010 was successfully migrated to Exchange Online and Office 365
- SA IT now is able to use remote monitoring and management (Atera RMM) to keep track of the customer environment and remotely create service tickets
- Every server and every workstation is now protected by latest version of anti-virus software Webroot
- SA IT holds a weekly client review to adjust to changes in the environment or update the roadmap
- Every prior employee workstation received a complete refresh and upgrade
